Here is my dilemma, when politicians say Corporations are people; - TopicsExpress

Here is my dilemma, when politicians say Corporations are people; why then arent they held accountable for their actions? If a person can be imprisoned for negligence, why not those who sit at the top of the corporations? Case in point, GM. We all know the story (I hope). This corporate entity knew for 10 years they had a big problem which their ignition switches. Yet they did nothing. 10 years? That is criminal! And to make matters worse, the reason for 10 deaths was justified in their minds because it would cost $0.57 to fix the issue!?!?!?! WHAT? FIFTY SEVEN CENTS PEOPLE! So let me get this right.... a human life is not even worth $0.57 in the minds of the GM board members. Ok got it. Now who can predict the outcome of this absolutely sickening situation? We all know a slap on the wrist fine is forthcoming. But who agrees with me when I say that those who headed GM during the initial finding of an issue, and any subsequent leaders of that company excluding the latest GM (She gets a pass but just barely) should be facing criminal charges? I say they should at least be looking at criminal negligence, or even manslaughter. Just unacceptable.
