Here is my introduction I told you about earlier: INTRODUCTION Human beings, as we all know, prefer living in communities rather than existing in isolation. This style of life, which is quite natural, has been made possible thanks to an amazing means, namely language. Language has really an incredible power to connect people with each other and give them the opportunity to share among themselves an infinite number of things. People’s awareness of the important role that language plays in their daily life is obvious all over the world. Better still, all people of any society take pride in their language, and become more excited about it when they stumble across foreigners who use their language with such easiness and spontaneity that leaves them, very often, flabbergasted. Thus, being fluent in foreign languages is a great advantage that benefits those who have succeeded in mastering the selected codes. This astounding ability to communicate in a number of languages is usually deemed, by a great number of persons, a privilege that happens only to the lucky ones, who have the advantage to mix and live with native speakers for a given period of time, which is indispensable, in their eyes, to grasp the subtleties of the chosen language. Giving such an explanation to the phenomenon of fluency, in the era of the internet, is really devoid of common sense. Granted, sharing native speakers’ life and culture may constitute a big advantage to anyone seeking mastery over the target code, but it is not the only way to achieve it. Language lovers who don’t have the opportunity to live abroad can still build up fluency in their chosen languages.
