Here is some important information from my brother Steve, the computer wiz. Steves statement: If you havent already heard, Microsoft will be ending support for the Windows XP operating system April 8th. What this means is that there will be no more security updates after the 8th for vulnerabilities in XP. Also some software and hardware support will end after the 8th. I just wanted to make all of my fb friends aware of this in case you havent heard. XP will still operate after the 8th but it will be vulnerable to new viruses and malware that come along. If you want to upgrade from XP, the choices you will have is Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 or 8.1. Vista still has some time for support (roughly 5 more years), but you would be better off going to Windows 7 or 8. To upgrade with your current computer, the hardware specifications need to support Vista, Windows 7 or 8. You can do a Google search on minimum requirements for the operating systems or you can contact me. If your computer is rather old, the hardware may not support the newer operating systems efficiently and then youll have to decide as to whether to continue using the existing computer with XP and exposed vulnerabilities, upgrade the hardware and operating system or purchase a new computer. Have any questions, let me know. - Steven Smail
