Here is something I have found I cannot get across to people who believe in evolution. A FACT is a single and specific datum that can be proven to be correct every time it is tested. That means, If I say cats naturally have four legs, and set out to test that against every cat species, and find it true, then that is a fact. A THEORY is an assumption that can be tested as to its validity. So if I say all dogs have tails, and set out to test whether or not all dogs naturally have tails, then find that some breeds (wild and domesticated) do not have tails, then there is a problem with my theory. So it remains a THEORY, because I can further study the causes of tailless dogs to see if it natural or a result of breeding. Now with that said, if I take a dinosaur bone and test it through carbon dating, and I get a variety of results, then I cannot take the preponderance of evidence and call it a fact. That means, if my testing comes back 70 % of the time 65 million years (+/- 10 million), but 15 % of the time in the thousands, and 10 % inconclusive, I cannot say that the 70 % is a fact. That is sloppy science. Also, you cannot put together a handful of bones and claim it is that of an ancestor of mankind. You cannot find existing soft tissue within a dinosaur bone and speculate on the reason why and call it a solution to the question of why it is still there when even science says it is not possible past 1 million years. For whatever reason, people who rely on science and science alone for these answers ignore the definition of a fact, the methods by which we come to conclusions, and even the very rules their system relies upon to function. They are so closed off to something outside of the natural world that they ignore the problems their own beliefs create. Its like amputating your leg because you have an ingrown toenail.
