Here is something for you to think about. You may already be aware of it. The City of Nanaimo is thinking of building an incinerator to burn garbage from Metro Vancouver. A lot of people are opposed to it ad they plan to attend a Council meeting on April 14. The meeting is in the evening, and starts at 7:00 pm. This is a serious issue ad lots of people in my age group will be there. What would be more convincing is if a group of younger folks were there. This is a political issue and I have been reluctant to ask for student participation in the past. This is one issue that may need support from many different groups. If you feel strongly about incinerators, especially those for other peoples garbage, I would be happy to organise a ride for you to City Hall. send me a message via the comments section below. If you have pressing assignments, dont even think about it. It could take up to two hours to get to the incinerator issue, so you would have to ask your parent permission.
