Here is the Week 8 Preview, written by the Commishs Heather and Rich: Absolute Comfort vs. Scorpions – This is definitely the feature matchup of the week with the top 2 teams in the league facing off. The 14-0 Absolute Comfort Team vs. the 13-1 Scorpions could lead to a change in the top of the standings. Last week in Game 1 the Scorpions took advantage of a short handed but very competitive team of Merion Catering. Leading the way for the girls was Cheryl going 2/3 with a single and a double and a solid defensive game. For the guys Nelson and Sean who both went 3/3 while the Steves (Spence, Frett and Ferranto) all went 2/3, with S. Ferranto and Nelson each hitting a homerun. In Game 2 the offense scored a total of 19 runs with 2 big innings scoring 10 in the second and 8 in the fourth. Steve Ferranto, again pitched a solid game holding the opponent to only 3 runs, and he also helped his own cause going 2 for 3. Leading the way for the guys was Dallas going 3/3, S. Frett going 2/2, Nick who went 3/4 and Spence who went 2/4 with a homerun. Seleta led the ladies going 2/3 and Colleen going 2/4 with a single and a double. We again would like to send our Get Well wishes to Joel who had his surgery but had some unfortunate complications with a blood clot traveling to his lungs. We really hope that he can recover quickly. Our prediction is a split decision.
