Here is the buck I got on the morning of day 4 of rifle season, I know its a deer on a moose page but theres a story behind it I thought Id share. I was entered in the north shore big buck contest, buck was shot on Thursday morning and we didnt get him out until dark, I knew he was well over 200 dressed so I was anxious to bring him to weigh in but had to work Friday. I got home Friday from work and was anxious to go weigh the buck in, there was no way I could lift him off the hooks in the garage so I lowered him on the front of the bike with rigging, I was backing out of the garage with the buck on the front when his hoof got caught in the garage door track, THIS IS WHERE THINGS WENT BAD, instead of getting off the bike and removing leg, I reached forward to grab leg, when I did this I hit throttle accidentally with my leg. Bike shot backwards to the left throwing me and the buck off to the right, I landed wrong on my leg and it broke underneath me, with buck landing on top of me!!! Cast that night and surgery following Monday to install a plate and screws, needless to say the 9 days I had off for the remainder of the moose/deer season werent spent hunting, but, good news was that we got buck to weigh in and it was 249 lbs dressed, which was good enough to take 1st place and get me $1000!!!!
