Here is the dilemma. I have a friend who, while driving through a parking lot, was backed into by someone who was pulling out of a parking spot. She doesnt want to report it to her insurance company because her rates could go up. The other drivers insurance company is holding my friend 10% responsible since she wasnt looking in the direction that the other driver was coming from. The collision occurred on my friends passenger side, with the damage beginning at the back of her front passenger door and continuing back to the right rear quarter panel. the shop is estimating around $2,000 in damage, meaning she would be responsible 200 of the bill. Should she fight it? Should she get her insurance company involved? Anyone?
