Here is the first tank which I like. First a little bit about the person who owns the tank. Brad is a aquascaping colleague Who lives in Perth. He is a Hobbyist who works as a Uni Lecturer to support his family and his hobby. Brad has been a hobbyist on and off for over ten years now, and gives his grandmother credit for getting him interested in the hobby. Some of his favourite fish, plants and inverts are Celestial Pearl Danio, Rotala macranda and Fire red cherry Shrimp. Some of the specs on the tank areas follows: Tank is a CADE mini, 35x30x30. LIghts 2x24w PL, @ 5.5Hrs daily. Pressurized co2, @1.5bps Eheim 2213 Filter. The plants in the tank are Dwarf Hair grass, Mini Pellia, HC and Pearl Moss. Their are 2 Ottos in the Tank, and 20 Red Cherry shrimp and 2 crs Brads daily fertilizing regime is 1 pump of ADA Green brighty step 1 and K, 1 pump of easy Life Ferro, And 1 drop of Dino Pee. I think that brad has done a fabulous job with this tank, All the mountain peaks and rock faces look like they were weathered by nature over a squillion years. All of the lines in the rocks blend in with each other, so when you look at the tank your eyes flow with lines of the rocks, that is to say their are no out of place rocks in the scape which catch your attention when looking at the tank. I also think that how he has placed the rocks with the valley that runs back, which you dont see the end of gives this little tank a lot more depth than you would expect from a tank this size. Brad has kept the planting to a minimum, trying to use the plants to highlight the rocks, and at this stage has no intention of planting more plant. I think he has achieved just that. I think that the dimensions of the rocks, the type of plants used in this scape all work extremely well in this little cube. Would love to get some feedback from you guys out their as to what you think about this tank. If you would like to post some tanks you like or your own tanks feel free to post them and we can get a bit a discussion going about them. I will post some more tanks over the next fee weeks. Click on the photos to enlarge and scroll through them. The photos run from when Brad started the scape till now.
