Here is view of work today. We seined the new 4 acre pond to move about 13,000 lbs of hybrid catfish. It starts out with me riding the mudline which helps hold the net down on the bottom. Then I get out to put a tractor paddlewheel aerator in behind the seine. That will make sure the oxygen is good once we get all the fish in the holding net. You get to see the seine reel, the final crowding of the fish, and loading them on trucks with the crane. At the end is using the crane to remove the big electric aerator so we can drain the pond to finish harvesting on Friday.
