Here is what you are going to miss - btw still looking for a high school aged drummer, a bassist for monday and wednesday, and limited room for singers and all instruments - Hello! Really looking forward to jazz camp next week, I wanted to check in before too much more time went by. SJI starts THIS Sunday at 4 pm, This will be registration time and then we will do a few orientation things and meet and greet. This won’t be an all night affair, but people are welcome to stay and play. I will be sending out individual invoices out very shortly. Schedule: Sunday - 4 - 7? Monday - Thursday Schedule Listening - 11-11:50 Ensemble Tutorial - 12-1:45 Lunch - 2-3 Ensemble Rehearsal - 3 - 4:45 Break Jams - Evening After Dinner Thursday Night at 7 - Concert! Important please respond: On Monday and Tuesday I will host people who want to eat dinner and hang out before Jams. There will be meat and vegan options both nights. Please let me know if you think you want to attend and what your dietary preference is! Looking for a rough count - please “RSVP” if you can. Most likely Pasta and Salad, and burgers (veggie burgers). I live about a mile away (driving - 15 minutes walk) and can provide directions Thursday Night at 7 is our concert (student/faculty) - tell your friends and family! We will also be celebrating OMC’s birthday (Now Working on year 6) - each year has been better then the one previous I am thinking of getting T-shirts made, how many people would want one at @ 10$ a piece (whatever cost is) Things to bring - a notebook, pencil/pen your instrument (singers bring your charts of songs you want to be working on) spare strings/valve oil/reeds optional: realbook (most music will be provided) long sleeve shirt for when its too cold, and short sleeve short for when its too hot a favorite drinking mug open mind We will have a water cooler set up as well as coffee brewing and an electric teapot We also have a very small fridge, but it is not big enough for everyones lunch, we do have some coolers and if its important enough we can bring in ice. We have some amps, but not enough for everyone, also we currently only have one complete drumset, so if you can bring yours for the week that is ideal, we do have some hardware - feel free to use what we have Am I leaving anything out? Having a week of music like this is special, take advantage of this time as you can, reality is hardly jazz with friends for 5 days in a row all day (unfortunately) Let me know if you have any questions!
