Here is whats been going on: Friday night I went out to feed and Thunder was colocing we gave him a shot and called a vet out to help. The vet gave him another shot and said he should be better in a few hours. Travis left work early and we made the decision to take him to West Layette to the Purdue animal hospital. We arrived at 1am they did tests and said he needed surgery so around 2am he went in for surgery at 3 they came out and said he had a tumor, they removed 10 feet of intestine and his colon was displaced so they fixed it and at 5:30am the surgery was over. When we made the decision to do the surgery they said he has a 50% chance of making it. As of todays update Thunder is doing good, he almost knocked the vet down when they brought water in and he was hungry. They will start introducing feed/hay to him tomorrow and pray everything works correctly. They will not be giving him his noon pain medicine(which is good) and he has been passing feces! Thunder is still not out of the woods and still needs prayers. These horses mean the world to us and our kids horses are their world, they eat, sleep and ride so it was not an option to not help Thunder when he has done so much for Bella. When she was sleeping she kept saying ride Thunder so please take a few seconds out of your day and say a little prayer for Thunder we would greatly appreciate it!
