Here on the farm, we are busy putting away the pork harvest and gearing up for some wild game hunting in the coming weeks. But, we take time to understand the seasons and how we can correlate our work with their rhythm. Everyday chores are still around, but we mostly take this time to reflect and plan for next year. The beauty of the Sun is also on our mind. The Sun is currently dying in the Northern Hemisphere. It will, of course, reach its lowest point on the Solstice (Dec 21st), spend a few days in death, and then begin its slow return. Its this rhythm that many of us have forgotten.
