Here we are in the midst of the January chill, snow falling and you are undoubtedly wondering why you have received no information on the March 15th gathering. Lady Minglemoor (Liz) had hoped to have surgery in December and be well on the road to recovery by now. The gathering would have marked her return to most normal activities. That was not to be. Unfortunately, the surgery requires coordinating four surgeons to handle two procedures in one operating room session and a one week stay in the hospital. The earliest the doctors could schedule together is February 18. Lizs recuperation is estimated to be initially four to six weeks followed by four months or more before being back at pre-surgery energy levels. As a result, the March 15 gathering had to be rescheduled, most likely into late April or early May. Please know that we would not push the date so far forward if it could have been avoided. For those who have not yet renewed their membership for 2014 the form will be posted on our website in the next several days with an early renewal price good until February 28.
