Here we are with the second episode of the GT Keyboard Studio Christmas Series. This time Ive decided to play a real medley with some of my favourite traditional Christmas carols. Here you can read the descriptions of all the different musical parts. If you like this new GT Christmas Project, dony forget to share it to send your wishes to your friends and relatives; you can use the hashtag #GTXmasProject. ① HERES ANOTHER CHRISTMAS: An introduction to the big thing, it sounds like a welcome back/here we are again formula. Initially, it was supposed to be a cover of John Lennons Happy Christmas, but it turned out to be an original piece of music with a Keyboard Solo-kind of lead instrumental at the end. ② LET THERE BE SNOW: An homage to Sammy Cahn, Jule Stayne and, of course, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. A Jon Lordish organ solo brings to the rock part of the medley. ③ STAR FUNKY FALLIN: Silent Night was featured on the previous GT Christmas Project as a blues improvisation. This time is a more articulated symphonic rock piece. A MiniMoog solo closes the set. ④ STAR FALLIN: Same sort for the Italian classic Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle. A strong ring modulator cracks on the Hammond before the next part. ⑤ DECK THOSE HALLS!: A rock version of the classic Deck The Halls closes the first part of the medley. ⑥ MORE THAN A SILENT NIGHT: A warmer piano improvisation introduces the second version of Silent Night in this Christmas Project. A Pink Floydish lead solo brings the medley to its conclusion. ⑦ WE WISH YOU A ROCKIN XMAS: Is it possible to left this out? I dont think so. Its certainly a tribute to my first 2012 Christmas Project. ⑧ CHRISTMAS IN SARDINIA: This a tribute to my Land and all the families that are fighting to keep their livings on after the Cyclone Cleopatra.
