Here we go. God in action. I am not a religious person, but I believe in God, and I believe in the goodness of the truth. This is just too ironic. Today, July 2nd is the day my brother Pete died July 2, 1981 - 33 years ago. Two days ago, I found out that Petes best high school friend, Matt Dennihy, died. I was devastated. Matt was there for me and my family for years after Pete died along with some of Petes other friends- Jim Brown, Lloyd Kent, Julie Bittoni Smith, Michael Salucci, Tony Salucci, Jim Brown, Keith Leedham and so many more. I remembered that Matt had written a beautiful poem that he gave to me the next day- July 3, 1981 that we read at the funeral. I woke up last night at 3:33am and felt compelled to find it. Up in my 110 degree attic, I finally found it. The irony is unimaginable. Tomorrow is Matts wake- July 3- the same day he gave me the poem 33 years ago. So many 3s.... I know that these two friends are together again now.
