Here we have another case that features the use of social media whilst at work. A dairy worker was sacked after he took a ‘selfie’ photograph of himself wearing an Obama Bin Laden face mask. Robert Mazur was working alone as a lab technician in a hot, sealed room testing samples at the Crediton dairy plant in Devon when he took the photograph and posted it on his Facebook page. The photograph showed part of the firm’s logo and he was subsequently dismissed for damaging the firm’s reputation. He was sacked at the end of January 2014 after seven years and is claiming unfair dismissal and a disability claim because of his depression. The tribunal continues.
