Here we sit on the eve of battle. Almost a year ago, I was having lunch with some friends, and we joked about how much fun it would be to challenge Steven Palazzo with a Constitutional platform. We didnt expect to win, but we wanted to see what South Mississippi would do if given the option. Well, its become very clear that this is not longer a joke. Our campaign is standing toe to toe against others with orders of magnitude more funding than we have. The message of liberty and the enthusiasm of our friends makes up for any gap in resources. Tomorrow we will march onto the battlefield as well prepared as the other combatants, and we will fight for the return of our freedom and our nation. We may very well lose this battle. The enemy is well-armed and more experienced in conflict than we. But this fight was not begun by us, we are merely the latest to adopt the cause of freedom. And we will not be the last. Those who will take up the call of liberty have existed in every era, and will continue to do so. Regardless of our victory or defeat tomorrow, I am impossibly grateful for the new friendships I have formed during this campaign, and I am certain that we have many battles left to fight together. Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.
