Heres a BnB update...... I will be as transparent as I can through the planning and implementation process to keep whomever wants to be informed, informed. So whoever wants to help can help! So far, I have been finding all the working pieces. Theyre all there, of course. I just need to see them for myself in a way that helps me Thats going well and it far more about my learning curve than it is anything else. The thing Id like to see focused on in 2015 is a greater sense of fun at the start/finish and SAGs. New things to do see....eat :-) things people can do other than ride their bike to extend the feel of the ride beyond the road and scenery. This is a ride not a race so we should continue past efforts of making the stops more enjoyable along the way. It is very easy to forget what kind of rider these events are really targeted to and we need to stay centered on that person. Also, we are looking at ways to build on the prior marketing plans to continue increasing ride participation - which is my main goal and objective. More folks. A lot more folks!! Once I get a solid plan (almost done) I will put the working parts out on FB and I hope yall help me make sure I didnt overlook anything. I am putting together a group of people to help with key functions but I am trying to stay away from a formal committee as our board will hopefully continue in that role. I would like to tap people for specific purposes or event tasks and then just get that done. So the people I am looking for dont have to spend a bunch of time talking about the thing they already know theyre going to do. Example? Danny Hayden is going to help mark the routes, I dont think that requires a whole bunch of meetings - well,no, hell be ok. I have last years volunteer list so you can expect a call or note about that. I hope many of you will help out again but I would love to see new faces helping in for no other reason than to allow these year in year out volunteers a chance to actually ride the BnB! Dennis Kutach told me that 2015 will be the first year in the last 3 he will be able to ride!! So, we still need a lot of help in this and the only thing I can promise is as few meetings as possible and a lot of work!
