Heres a great way to head into the weekend! Check out this house, built from scratch to meet the rigorous standards of Universal Design, which helps make sure spaces are usable by all people and to the greatest extent possible. This recently finished house in Maryland just goes to show how every aspect of construction -- right down to a doors hinges -- can help people live freely and more enjoyably. The intent was to really push the limits as far as we could, said occupational therapist and interior designer Ingrid Kanics of Kanics Inclusive Design Services, LLC. She teamed with Alter Urban to help make this house a reality.
