Heres a half season report from our girl Lindsay - TopicsExpress

Heres a half season report from our girl Lindsay Eagles-Middlebrooks! Good Job this season! Keep it up! This race season has been amazing for me. Racing the Worcs Racing series has been a very educational experience and continues to challenge me at every event. I have missed two of the five races but have placed higher every race I have competed in. Round 1 at Taft was my first full 50 minute race so my goal was to finish feeling good, I ended up finishing 4th and was feeling fantastic physically! My next race was Round 3 at Lake Havasu. This track was the most grueling track I had ever ridden with temperatures reaching high 90s. It felt like the longest hour of my life but I managed my first podium and brought home a bronze. The most recent round was held at Ridgecrest, a new venue for WORCS. I loved the fast, wide open landscape and how nearly every aspect of racing was implemented; from piles of dirt and cement to telephone pole sized logs, MX to long, sandy desert whoops. This was my longest race yet finishing at 1hr 18mins, and I took my first WORCS gold! I am so happy to be in the 2nd place position for the overall championship at this point in the season. Each of these races has raised my stamina and all around ability as a rider, challenging my limits both mentally and physically. I have overcome more obstacles in these races than Id ever thought possible with being so new to the sport and I am eager to continue on this track bettering myself race by race. I have attended 2 SORRA - Sierra Off-Road Riders Association XC races and 1 SORRA MX round, successfully beating out all my competition and bring home a 1st place win for every event. This was my first attempt at an MX only event, I found the fast pace and close quarters to be tough. I stalled on the start and couldnt make the pass for 1st in the first moto, but managed to make it up to 2nd. The second moto I got the hole shot and led the entire race for the overall win. I very much enjoyed it and hope to attend more MX races in the future. Though SORRA has been a great beginning series for me, I have decided to pull myself from the chase to focus my full effort towards WORCS. There were simply not enough competitors or races this season to get the points I would need for a championship, though I hope to return next season and compete in the Mens C class.
