I dont know if this is just my sense of humour, but it seems funny to me: In Rio, in preparation for the Olympics and World Cup, the government has embarked on a 200 million dollar project to address areas with horrific crime and poverty levels. As part of that effort, the police have whitewashed over anti-establishment graffiti and hung up their flag to show a new engagement with the local population, and I guess an assurance that they are going to stop executing civilians. The only problem, the police emblem on that flag is a skull with a dagger through it. Not sure that says community policing to me.
