Heres a little good night story. Two years ago where we lived there were so many dogs abandoned, dumped, pure strays and run away dogs coming through our yard. I only really began to notice bc a beautiful white german Shepard had puppies in the woods by our house. I tried desperately to gain their trust and every other one that came to my house. We were literally going through 50lbs of dog food a week trying to feed them all. Then one night Kevin & I discussed trying to get the females off the streets first, which we did and then these 2 little boogers took it upon themselves to just walk into our house. I guess they had enough and wanted to be in a house. I went round and round trying to find a rescue or the humane society to help us with them. The only person who helped was Linda Rose Sutphin and Dogs 2nd Chance. The only real stipulation was that we were able to foster. Having 3 dogs and a cat already with 1 year old just learning to move around the house was already hard but we just couldnt put them back out. So we brought them into our lives and made it work. Because of this blessing by two stray dogs, I have been involved with Dogs 2nd Chance ever since and made a wonderful friend in Linda. Our beautiful boy Roscoe has since been adopted & as for Bruno, he is my wonderful foster failure. As funny as it is to say with so many dogs, Bruno & I have a special bond, that I believe you only get with a dog who you have worked to earn the trust of. I am ever so greatful that they chose us to help. It lead me down a path that Im so blessed to be able to be on. I am amazed by the beautiful friendship I have gained and Joyful that I can raise my son knowing how to truly love and help animals ( he has been my total side kick, never rescued a dog or fostered with out my son). I will only hope that each & every single one of you finds what you can do that Truly makes you happy.
