Heres a recent post from one of our patients, Mr. Anthony Thanasayan: TALKING ABOUT TEETHING WOES! Three days ago, a tiny piece of my tooth chipped and I immediately called up my favourite dentist for an appointment because I thought I would nip it in the bud before the situation got worse. The dentist and his team were very kind and gave me an appointment to suit my time and convenience. It isnt easy organising things when you are in a wheelchair! A day later, horrors of horrors - a large piece from another tooth suddenly fell off. (I started seeing horrid pictures of me in dentures) Then, on day three, just a hour before I made it to my dental appointment, that little piece on day one turned into a monstrous hole when whatever that was left of it fell off too! As I wheeled into my dentists clinic i said, nearly wailing, Doctor, whats happening to my teeth? They seem to be falling apart one by one! The dentist was very calm and so were his couple of team of nurses. Dont worry Anthony. What is happening to you is really quite normal. It has nothing to do with your diet or how you are looking after them. Your teeth are your strongest part of your body. Well just treat each situation as it comes. Dont worry! My dentist told me and immediately got down to work. What I thought would take an hour or more was completed in an incredible and painless 10 minutes flat - well in time for my lunch appointment with a friend. My new addition of strong fillings made me feel as good as new. I was glad that I didnt have to get into the dental chair. My doctor did it whilst I sat in my wheelchair with a nurse holding my head and the other assisting him. Call us anytime when you need to come in again. Dont you worry, said my dentist with me smiling and feeling as good as new. What an excellent bedside manner from a wonderful dentist and his team. Thank you Dr Suresh Nair from Pristine Dental Centre in Mid Valley, Megamall, Kuala Lumpur (2nd Floor). (If you are going by wheelchair, park in the disabled parking in P1, A12.
