Heres a video of my floor speech in support of the latest bipartisan bill to approve the construction of the long-delayed Keystone Pipeline, which will create tens of thousands of jobs for Americans. This overwhelmingly popular project is about job creation and energy independence. It is about America taking the lead in energy and succeeding in the global economy. For six years the Peoples House has passed pieces of legislation that would’ve finally created the Keystone Pipeline. However, every one of those bills died in the Senate. It is an outright shame that the Senate is only now considering this legislation because of one job -- that of a Senator in Louisiana about to lose her seat. I am very glad that the House passed this bill with bipartisan support. If/when the Senate does the same, President Obama has absolutely no good reason not to finally sign it.
