Heres an edited copy of the letter weve just sent to a bank where Claudia and I have a joint account. That was the second time we attempted to get you to acknowledge that we have moved home. Sadly, we are now bored with trying to convince you that we no longer live at ***************. Please feel free to carry on sending all further correspondence for Mrs C Frewin to our old address, if you wish to. We have a Royal Mail forwarding system in place until 19 April 2014, after which, presumably, all correspondence to Mrs C Frewin at ********* will either be thrown away or returned to you marked “gone away”. What is especially remarkable in this situation is that you are the only corporation unable to take our word that we have moved home. Lloyds Bank believed us when we told them of our new address, Santander believed us, Legal & General and Sun Alliance believed us; Thames Water, SSE, Direct Line and all other institutions, companies and corporations believed us – only HSBC seem to need extra proof.
