Heres an interesting take on the faux-cons - a strict father model of society, rooted in a brutally authoritarian interpretation of the Christian God the Father metaphor. I think its pretty clear that if God is love the God-the-Father metaphor means, since theres no evidence for any direct supernatural action, that He only acts by His children acting lovingly on the basis of the taking-everything-into-account model that His Son preached - a really conservative situation where family cohesion is paramount and all relationships are compassionate and considerate.
