Heres how I feel...The Bible tells me: where two are gathered in - TopicsExpress

Heres how I feel...The Bible tells me: where two are gathered in my name..my prayers will be heard. Theres a story in the Bible about a unjust judge and a woman who continually comes to him and never lets up asking him for what she needs...later we are told, she recieves what she asks because of tenacity and perserverance. We are told to never give up in prayer...to pray unceasingly. This weeks study had 3 parables in one....if a shepherd had 100 sheep and one was lost...he would leave the other 99 in a open field and go in search for the ONE who wandered and needed ti be saved!! Also the Widow who lost her coin worth a days wages and (worked) sweeping out her whole home for that one VALUABLE coin. Then as in the first case and WHEN she found it ..SHE REJOICED as in the first parable!! She called her friends together and celebrated...why?? Because I think....they had been praying for her possibly about the one lost sheep, the coin...and now it was FOUND. (Possibly...much joy in.Heaven over one lost sheep that gets found) Last but not least....The Parable of The Prodigal Son. True the son wants his inheritance early, wastes and squanders it and runs away from his family to do it ..causing much heartache to his father. But, he returns to his senses and comes HOME ..wanting only to be a servant. However....upon returning he finds his sweet father has been waiting for hom ALL ALONG!! While he is still A LONG WAY OFF HIS FATHER SEES HIM AND HUGS HIM FALLING UPON HIS NECK TENDERLY KISSING HIM.. then tells his servants to bring his son a robe, ring and to kill the fattened calf...there wad to be a great party!! When I pray for my kids/family...I do NOT pray in UNbelief....I pray unceasingly, never tiring....I go after my lost sheep ...I long to carry them back on my shoulders and to be gentle to them. I will sweep my whole house, (life) trying to gind them with light because they are of high value to me! I am forever waiting on their return...I watch for them praying. This takes ..belief! I believe that my kids are worth every prayer I say for them. I once read a story of a man whose Grandmother in her 80s died. Looking back he realized he had always known that 3 times a day...everyday his grandmother prayed for him then he added up the years he was alive times 3 and was overcome by wonder by the amount of times his gandmother sincerly loved him enough to pray on his behalf... Friends....if you ask me to pray I wil write it down and do it, program it into my phone..or stop right there and do it. This is our right as Gods Children to pray on behalf of those we love. I believe that the more people that we have pray with us...it adds power and depth to our voices. This is belief. If I did not believe, Id never ask you to pray with me.
