Heres my pitch for a new GHOSTBUSTERS: You got Ray (Dan Aykroyd) Dana (Sigourney Weaver) and Winston (Ernie Hudson) who are now in charge of Ghostbusters International. Due to increased worldwide supernatural activity, they franchised the Ghostbusters and now there are teams of Ghostbusters in major cities around the world. They even have a spy on the other side in the form of the ghost of Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) who was shot dead by a jealous husband and now he spends his time flirting with the ghosts of Marilyn Monroe, Jane Mansfield, Mae West and other dead screen goddesses. A new threat emerges and its basically Cthulhu (voice by Alan Rickman, of course) who is tired of hearing all the shit Venkman talks about how badass The Ghostbusters are and decides to unleash The Great Old Ones on Earth just to teach him a lesson. To combat the threat, Ray and Winston round up a new team of Ghostbusters that just happens to be all female. All of the actresses would basically be playing counterparts of the original team: Sarah Silverman=Peter Venkman Gabrielle Union=Ray Stantz Malin Ackerman=Egon Spengler Sofia Vergara=Winston Zeddmore Think it would work?
