Heres my quick #tbt story for this week. I remember co-hosting my first EDM party almost 8 years ago - I was lucky enough to start with Tiesto in Gwinnett in 2007. At the time, I knew he was THE DJ, but I had no idea of when to turn up (was turning up around that long ago?). I remember watching the crowd thinking Ill never be that into electronic music. Funny how things change... Fast forward to the present. Its been 10 months since I was one of the four original promoters to unleash this raw animal known as Prive Saturdays in Atlanta. While Im still no Mitul Patel or Sean Holland when it comes to my knowledge of EDM, I actually prefer hearing it over hip hop (hell, Im from Decatur and grew up in the DeKalb Co public school system), which says a lot. This Saturday, were proud to present Tiestos protege, Danny Avila - and get this - you can get in free on the guest list until 11:30.
