Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today...September 15, 2014... Dear Lord, Things dont always go the way we plan...sometimes, because of mistakes weve made, or because of the actions of others... many of us find ourselves in places that we never thought we would be. Many people who have always been healthy, now find themselves dealing with illness or injuries. Many are dealing with loved ones that have always been strong and independent, but now are in failing health...many are facing life alone after the loss of loved ones...others who always thought they had job security, or thought they were financially secure, now find their lives turned upside down by the rapidly changing economy and upheaval that is happening around the globe...the bottom line to these things, Lord... is nothing in this world is secure or unchanging, but You...and we may be caught by surprise, but you never are...your word says you see our lives from beginning to end, before we even live one day. Lord, for those who are too raw to reach out...for those who are discouraged from as of yet, unanswered prayers...for those who feel like they have been abandoned by you...for those who feel like giving up on life and faith...these thoughts and feelings are known by you, Lord...and they are common to man. When we read the Psalms, we read of the same feelings of despair...we read of the pain and the struggle to find purpose in living. We read the questions that were shouted up to you...Why?...Where are you?...How long must I wait?...How long must I suffer?...but through it all, we also see how David, who reached the lowest of lows, also reached the highest of highs, when He saw that you were faithful...when He saw that your promises are true. His faith was tested and He found you were faithful. He knew that you were our life-sustaining source and the answer to everything in life. David knew first hand that you gave a crown of beauty for ashes and a garment of praise, instead of a spirit of despair... he learned that you gave the oil of joy instead of mourning. We read how you did the same for Job and for your disciples and for so many others in your word... and what you did for them, you do for us, because you are faithful and your word stands the test of time... your promises are for yesterday, today and forever. Lord, please bless each person praying with your comfort and hope...may they find the power to pick themselves up and to stand with your strength. Lord, there is a time to weep and a time to dance and we pray that you would fill our hearts to overflowing with your joy, so that even if our circumstances dont change, we might dance before you, with a heart of praise. Lord, hear our cries we pray. Bind the enemy. May your Holy Spirit fall afresh on us this day. May we make the most of today. Please go before us in this coming week and make the rough roads smooth and the crooked places straight. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen. May you feel His presence, peace and joy...
