BEYOND URGENT! HUGE CRISIS!! THE UN-SEEN, THE UN-HEARD, THE FORGOTTEN DOGS AND CATS OF AN INVISIBLE SHELTER…WILL THEY EVER BE SEEN OR WILL THEY REMAIN INVISIBLE AND OUT OF TIME? Please SEE these dogs and cats for they have NEVER been seen before. We can not even call them forgotten because in order to have been forgotten, you have to have been known. These babies have never been known. They have lived and they will go on without anyone ever knowing they existed. These are the faces of dogs and cats that are in a rural kill shelter without ANY help. When they go there, they dont leave. No one even knows they are there. It reminds me of the saying, If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?. If an animal is in a shelter and no one sees them or hears their plea, does it even matter?. Did they ever even exist? What if you were about to say goodbye to this world and as you laid there, you thought to yourself, no one will miss me, no one will have felt loss, I have lived alone and I will go on alone. My life was nothing. I was born to just die. I cry as I write this because NO ONE should EVER feel like this. No one should ever feel as if they dont matter, that their life does not matter, that their soul and their heart are disposable. They feel pain. They feel loneliness. They feel everything. SO let me back up and tell you about Operation Invisible Paws. There was one email that ripped our hearts from our chest. It was from a young woman who lives in a rural area in GA. She is trying so desperately to be a voice of so many and yet no matter how hard she screams, her voice is only as loud as a whisper. As if she is yelling as loud as she can in a forest and there is no one around to hear her. She lives in an area with an invisible shelter. No one hears their pleads. No one comes to visit. No one takes pictures or networks so these animals remain faceless and invisible. They die without out anyone ever knowing they existed. We want to change that. We want ALL these voices to be heard. We want the prayers and the pleads to be answered. They have lost so many. So many that could have been saved and should have had a chance. We are about to take the BIGGEST leap of faith our rescue has ever taken and the ONLY reason we feel we can FINALLY do this is because of YOU all out there! We need you all more now than ever!! We can not let them live or leave this world without even a name so we named them all. (Everyone should atleast have a name). We are about to take a HUGE caravan down to this rural shelter tomorrow and we want to save as many as we can! We are calling this OPERATION: INVISIBLE PAWS. I am BEGGING you all tonight to help us make this journey possible. (There are even more there that are not even pictured and we will update you hourly on who was saved and who is there so stay tuned to this page!!) We know we can not save them all (we do not have a building). We will save who we have fosters for AND we will save who we have funds for. The more funds and fosters we get, the more animals we will save. We will share with local rescue groups. And I will tell you now, this is the reality.. as much as our hearts feel so wonderful for the lives we saved, the ones we leave behind will kill us. They will haunt us. Those faces can not be erased. Those invisible, left behind animals make an imprint on our hearts and on our minds. When I close my eyes at night, I see all of those faces... The eyes that pleaded, the paws that reached through the cage to to beg me, the ones who wiggled as hard as they could to show you how much life they still have inside them and how badly they want to be chosen, the ones who curled up on my lap to feel a human touch for the first and last time, the ones who, despite the abuse and neglect they endured, laid their heads in my palms and licked my face ever so gently to let me know they still have love left in them. Those faces are never forgotten. They take a piece of us with them. That is why I will not stop begging and pleading to you all to help them. Once you open your eyes, you can not close them. You can not walk away. They DO exist. They are NOT invisible or forgotten. So how can we all make this a HUGE life saving mission??? 1) We MUST have local ATLANTA surrounding area fosters. Why fosters and why Atlanta only? Well we dont have a building and also dogs coming from shelters need to have atleast a 2 weeks quarantine and be healthy before crossing state lines. They also see our partnership vets and go through our foster and adoption process so we can ensure their safety. SO please fill out a foster application! We will temp test all animals and we pay all vetting. Who will no longer be invisible? Who will get that freedom ride?! Who will you help save today? These animals are living in outdoor runs (yes, in the cold) so many will have heartworms, be pregnant, sick, hurt. None of which is their fault but the fault of their irresponsible owners and therefore, we will mend them and they will NOT suffer anymore. We MUST raise the funds to heal who needs to be healed. Ask your friends, family, coworkers. This is a HUGE undertaking and will be one of the best rescue missions to date and we NEED YOUR help to make this possible!
