Heres my take: Stop. Grab the bar and rip it. Of course keep as close to the mechanics that youve been taught, but move! Intensity is the cornerstone of your results/fitness, not gear. Your shoes, rope, wraps, belts, bandages, tapes, shorts, more tapes, chalk, sleeves, bandages, did I mention chalk? will not make you better. Do not twist my words - they may increase mechanical and/or psychological advantage, and theres value in that, there is, but dont think that thats actually making you any better. Youre simply using as many short cuts as possible. Quick example: Relying on a belt without the understanding of whats going on - will get you hurt. Utilizing a belt for feedback - now thats just being smart.
