Heres my thoughts after speaking with several friends and members on this group. Start a shooting club and once a month have a match. Just for good fun and practice. We need about 10 people maybe more maybe less but a good group of people willing to participate consistently. We can have club matches on my home range or maybe Russell with host a match or two at his range. When the big shooting complex opens we can represent as a club and compete openly with anyone. As for now a smaller group would be better until a public range opens in our area. The only reason I think it couldnt just be a open invitation is because at my range the only restroom is in my house and I really dont want a whole bunch of strangers in and out of my house. So our group would have to be a close knit of friends even new friends that some of you know and trust for now. But anyhow, we need a safety/ liability release form, some steel for targets (we have a plasma cutter to cut out with), some guidelines for friendly matches. When we do this everyone needs to bring their own lawn chairs and cooler of drinks unless we do a dues thing and the drinks and targets come from that fund. I dont know. Suggestions and comments needed. This wouldnt be my thing but our thing and it may take some tweeting over time to get it just right. Speak up and lets do this.
