Heres some truth for you / ode to the bus station: in my many years on this earth i may not have lived much, but ive seen a lot of life, and no where is that life more evident than in the humble confines of the city bus station. Undoubtedly, these places are windows into everyday human activity, operatic microsms of existence as random and far-flung elements collide into a chaotic maelstrom of cultural calamity, forming a rhizomatic and contradictory whole that streches out in every direction. Sit there a while and you will witness a spectrum of human comedy succumb to epic tragedy. Institutions of interaction, menageries of meaning, bus stations are the veins of the body politic, ebbing and flowing and pumping and pouring the life blood of humanity throughout its endless journey. So come interlopper, commuter, backpacker and downtrodden, and when i die, lay me to rest beneath the bus station and let my eternal ashes be trampled into the very heart of the city.... Seriously, its awesome...
