This wine is Bleasdales Generations Shiraz, bottled for export only. Sporting an inky black/purple colour, its loaded with intense aromas and flavours of rich, fat juicy blackberry jam, cherry & violet liqueur, liquorice, coffee, chocolate, pepper, vanilla, cedar with soft acidity and firm tannins on the long, concentrated finish. A mouth-coating, teeth staining wine, its delicious to enjoy now for the sheer power of it or cellar for another decade. Meyer Chardonnay 2012, Okanagan Falls, BC, $25.90 This wine is loaded with rich aromas of buttery Fuji apple, pear and pineapple with spicy white pepper and a lush creamy palate. The texture is rich and buttery with lots of tropical and orchard fruit flavours with spicy white pepper, nutmeg, vanilla and honey. Light buttery notes from malolactic fermentation and sur lie aging with crisp acidity and the hedonistic finish. A rich style of wine more in keeping with a Meursault. Extremely delicious. Corner Creek Reserve Bourbon, Bardstown, Kentucky, $59 Corner Creek Reserve Bourbon Whiskey is a blend of wheat, rye and corn whiskies which have been aged in new American oak for 8 years, six years longer than required by law for straight bourbon. It has a beautiful amber/orange colour with aromas of peaches, cocoa, vanilla wafer and light toasty oak. The flavour is sweet and creamy getting more intense as the hearty flavours of caramel, smoke, oak and sweet corn make their way across the palate. Best Buy Bourbon!!! Kroušovice Cerné, Kroušovice, Czech Republic, $2.90 A marvellous dark lager, the Kroušovice Cerné pours out a deep rich brown colour with a creamy beige head, wonderful aroma of rich nutty malted milk chocolate, vanilla and citrus hops. The flavour is rich and creamy with soft caramel maltiness; an excellent, balanced blend of nuttiness, chocolate, and touch of roasted coffee, dark fruits and floral hops.
