Heres the bad news: No more photos during therapy. Hospital policy. Good news: Emmett ate several bites of regular yogurt off a spoon. He started out the day with a therapist blocking his arms and by the end of the day he independently picked up the spoon and ate with out assistance. He is also eating waffles from a fork with out resistance or help. Waffles have now been removed from his sessions and he is independently getting the chicken nuggets (small prices) in his mouth using a fork. Spitting the out, but who cares...it is very strange to see him eat with utensils. Another great day at the zoo between his morning and lunch session and lots of words came out as he identified all the animals. The zoo is very quiet with school in session. It is perfect. Emmett is calm, happy and excited to see the animals close up with out the large crowds. When Emmett was 3 he was whisked away to school 5 days a week. Although this program has presented many challenges, the one on one time spent with him during the down time has been joy. He is such a little treasure❤
