This is one of the most extraoridary speeches of the Obama Presidency. It was an act of incredible courage for President Obama to stand before the world and make the case for what is often required to secure peace. For a man whose ultimate responisbility is to protect the people of the country he leads and command the mitiest military in world history, it was an awkward award to receive. But as is so often the case, he used it as a platform to speak of the world as it ought to be. Peace does not happen on its own. It always requires sacrifice.
