Heres the deal. Im running a 10k this weekend. The last two 10k races I ran, I finished in 45 mins and change. I want to go faster. You can make that happen. How? By committing to donate $1.00 for every second I go under 45 minutes. Translation: I run a 44:36, you donate $24. I run a 43:57, you donate $63. You can commit to a lower rate if you think Im fast. So you can commit $0.50 or $0.25 for every second, if you like. The kicker? If Im slow, Ill donate 2 bucks for every second Im OVER 45 minutes. And youre off the hook. Best case scenario: -Many of you commit to this. -I run fast. -We raise a bunch of money for a good cause. Worst case scenario: -No one commits to this. -I run slow and wallow in humiliation. -I donate a bunch of money to a good cause. So whos with me? To commit, donate $1 now and note your committed Dollar Amount per Mile in the comment field. Yall know I can be super annoying so Ill bother you to deliver on your commitment later. Heres some info on Charity Water, a very scrupulous and deserving charity IMHO: my.charitywater.org/clint-speed-for-water
