Heres the latest on conditions at Starved Rock State Park, according to Jolyn Wise, the parks natural resources coordinator: All interior trails remain closed at Starved Rock including St. Louis Canyon. The boat ramp, roadway and west picnic area remain closed due to tree snags and/or debris from storm. The Fort St. Louis de Illinois Visitor Center and Starved Rock Lodge are both open with regular hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. French Canyon from the lodge and visitor center is open. East end trails Ottawa, Kaskaskia, and Illinois are open. Lone Point Shelter is open. Starved Rock Campground is open. The main parking and picnic areas at the visitor center are open. Matthiessen State Park is open for hiking and picnicking.
