Heres the skinny on what Im seeing: The SPC meso maps are showing no wind shear overhead. The hail parameters are low and the tornado threat is basically nil. There still is about 2000 j/k of SBCAPE so that in itself should keep the line going for a bit. I do think the line will weaken and not be severe when it moves through. I do believe there will be a pretty good gust of wind and a LOT of rain -- maybe a couple of small hailstones but overall Im feeling the intensity of the line will be below severe limits. I also think everything will be gone by 9am tomorrow and the sun will start to shine again. What thats going to do is REALLY heat up things as the radiation evaporates the newly fallen rain back up in the atmosphere, which will create a Heat Index of around 95°F by afternoon. This line (front) is moving quickly! With that said, Im going to bed! Dont let your guard down just yet… a Severe Thunderstorm Watch will remain in effect until 5am for Branson.
