Heres the thing, I have been a dance teacher longer than most of my students have lived on this earth! Ive trained and mentored so many great people. The makings of a successful dancer have never changed! Hard work, discipline, humility, consideration, focus, self motivation. These attributes have all been catalysts in creating the best students of my lifetime. If this is you, then you understand how greatness cultivates greatness. Give, and give some more. Im disgusted at the self absorption of many dancers. I feel sad for you because you miss the bigger picture. Making a living is one thing, but changing lives is on another level! As I become older, I am able to discern what my students need. But one thing I will never do is serve selfishness. Step back, reassess your motives, realign your purpose, and leave a legacy.
