Heres the thing. We actually need the police. So it doesnt really make sense to go on this hating binge. I understand being upset about specific situations but I will never condone character assassination based on the fact that someone happens to be a cop. Be slow in your anger or else you will begin to judge people unduly and you will start to look like the people whose actions supposedly repulse you. The solution is obviously not to do away with police. So lets talk solutions. What can be done? I say better, more comprehensive training programs and more intensive, character-based screening when it comes to hiring law enforcement officers. Any other thoughts?
