Heres todays Just a Minute Bible Booster with Rev. André Symmonds, brought to you by Purity Bakeries CITA Radio. Listen again at two minutes to 3:00PM and 8:00PM later today! The glory of God is used to describe God’s favor and blessings towards His people. In the Old Testament, God’s glory is seen as a pillar of fire and cloud that followed the Israelites during the exodus from Egypt, guiding and guarding them (Exodus 13:21). The Ark of the Covenant was built and placed in the tabernacle in the wilderness, and later in the Temple in Jerusalem. God’s glory resided there as a symbol of His presence among His people. Note that historically it resided in both the “wilderness” and the “temple.” Today the presence of God still resides in our “wildernesses.” Life’s “desert-like experiences” are not without God’s presence! Have your friends and family deserted you? The good Lord will never leave you! Similarly, His presence resides in the temple. I Cor.6, “Know ye not that you are that temple of God?” Just as that Ark was portable—so too are we transportable! © Rev.
