Heres what is on my mind. The past couple of days have been pretty scary. We met with Johns cardiologist on Thursday and he has cardio myopathy and heart flutter. He will have an ablation procedure on 11/21. His first day to wear a Life support Vest was Friday. It is made by ZOLO and he will be monitored 24 hours for heart fib that is life threatening. He has 20 leads surrounding his chest. I could not sleep Friday night fearing the alarms would sound. Thankfully not even the small alarms went off that could indicate a lead had come lose. If he goes into cardiac arrest and is conscious, he and he alone must press two buttons to turn off the monitor so it does not deliver 900 volt shock. Now, he is concerned he or I may not hear the monitor while asleep but we will make sure that does not happen. Obviously, if he is unconsious and the worst happens and he cannot press the buttons, the 900 volt will jolt him (hopefully) back into rythum. Thank God for modern technology.
