Heres where Stephen Fry went wrong. He decided to direct his outrage at Operation Yewtree which is nothing more than the police investigating accusations ie doing their job. He also made the error of talking about trying to deter people away from false accusations without A) not realising that laws against that already exist and B) offering no effective way of deterring people All in all he didnt do a good job in getting his point across Yes its disgusting and sick that people falsely accuse someone of anything especially child abuse but simply getting outraged about it isnt gonna help. Anyone can say something needs to be done but the question is What? If he wants to be mad at anyone it should be the media who sensationalise and jump on every accusation as if its cast iron.
