Hero WODs are named after fallen heros - soldiers, firefighters, policeman, and other law enforcement personnel. They are designed to be intense workouts in honor of the fallen. Sometimes we overlook whats important in life and get caught up worrying about the little things. Whether that is worrying about the time on the clock, what everyone elses times are, the number on the board, or just being afraid of a workout. Thats ok because it puts everything into perspective. On a day like Veterans Day, where we have a CrossFit Hero WOD, we should try to look at the bigger picture for a minute. Its ok to look at the workout and be afraid of it, but remember its about showing the courage, going against the fear, and getting out of your comfort zone. This is not meant to be an everyday workout, and it shouldnt be. These workouts are meant to be brutal, and for a good reason. When you finish this WOD, you should feel accomplished. Not because of the time on the board, but because you finished, to honor a fallen HERO. Please show up on Veterans Day and push through this workout. All are welcome, and it starts our week of free training to all veterans.
