Hey Band! Well this is the week of UIL Marching contest and I am excited about putting on the final touches of our show! I thought the band did a great job on Saturday and I am proud of our students for making finals. It is very important that all students be at our rehearsals on time! Please note the schedule below. Monday night rehearsal at 7:00 for everyone is at the stadium tonight. Everyone has a sectional next week! Tuesday morning is drum majors, Tuesday evening, 7:00 is guard and pit, Wednesday morning, 7:30 is wood winds, Wednesday evening, 7:00 is drum line, & Thursday morning, 7:30 is brass. This is our last for this rehearsal schedule so let’s make it count! This is also Homecoming week, so don’t forget that we have a parade/pep rally on Thurs. Students need to be in the band hall at 5:30 for roll check. The parade starts at 6:00. The band will march down Main Street and then catch a bus to the stadium for the pep rally. After the pep rally we will go back to the band hall to put stuff away. For Friday’s game, students need to be at the band hall no later than 5:15. Run through rehearsal starts at 5:30 on the field in uniform! We need to be on time because we have to be at the stadium a little earlier than normal because of pre-game activities. We can not wait on people who are late. Any student late to this weeks run through will receive a crew to serve after the game. The itinerary for UIL Contest is in the band hall. Please pick one up. It is also posted on our facebook page and on my teacher website. We perform in Amarillo at Bivins Stadium at 8:00 pm. Lets get a big crowd there to support our kids! Make sure you have everything you need for the game! Let’s shoot for no one being on crew this week. Please pay your band fee! It is $55.00 and it was due back in August! Let’s have a great week!
