Hey..Bob Plasse, Clifford G. Brockmyre, Madonna Meagher, Joanne Coangelo, Alene Paone, Scott T. Stevens....it crossed my mind as I was doing my Saturday morning home chores...do you know what we all were doing exactly 40 years ago on this day and time? We had just stepped onstage to perform the Saturday matinee performance of the musical, HELLO, DOLLY! at Bay Path Junior College (now Baypath University!) in Longmeadow, Mass. Imagine...40 years?! Directed by the late Paul Norton with musical direction by Charles Page and choreography by me, it was one of my favorite shows at the college and a wonderful cast!! The Bay Path stage itself was limited BUT our director was so resourceful...he built the circular runway from one side of the stage to the other and then built a straight ramp/runway which went from the center/front of the stage through the center of the theatre seating to the back of the theater! WOW! I know some photos exist of this Bay Path production...wish we had videos of it! So, gang...heres a video of our counterparts from a production I presented a quarter-of-a-century (26 years) later! Ironically (or fate?) it features a Bay Path alumni, Karen Caruolo (Karen Ippolito) as Dolly. I actually used some of my choreography/musical staging for this musical number from OUR production! Memories...great memories!
