Hey Emerson, Over the past three years in joint session and the last year as SGA VP Ive contributed to a few major things to the student body which Im proud of: 1. I chaired the ORRB (Organization Recognition and Review Board) and changed the process so that organizations can now be recognized with or without funding. This was a huge step forward for ORRB and will give more support to a wider variety of organizations. 2. I organized a team of amazing class and departmental representatives and orchestrated the writing of an Academic State of the College (review of our classes, professors, and requirements based on year and major). This academic review is pretty unprecedented and will give the administrators a direct lens to what is pressing on the minds of students regarding their education. 3. I upheld the standards of the Student Government when passing all initiatives and funding appeals. I recognize what is and what is not important and focus on those issues. I supported the erasure of gendered pronouns in the constitution and focused on initiatives surrounding dining hall reform as well as tuition hikes. I would like to be your SGA Vice President next year to ensure the literature Ive drafted and process Ive created remain in effect to their fullest potential. I would like to institute change and would like your support in doing so.
